EAAs are like the ultimate intraworkout/hydration product. We wanted to address 3 key things with this formula . . . Endurance, Muscle building, and Hydration.
ENDURANCE: Some studies show that EAAs can assist with improving endurance, however, we also give you ElevATP for this very reason. This ingredient has been shown to increase athletic performance during intense training sessions.
MUSCLE BUILDING: Charlie Mike contains all 9 of your EAAs which are the building blocks of protein synthesis and stacking on lean muscle mass.
HYDRATION: We give you a combination of electrolytes for nutrient retention, Coconut water powder for additional antioxidants, and Taurine for muscle hydration to avoid cramping.
It depends on the type of training you are doing. The added hydration components of this formula are excellent for HIIT or bouts of rapid exertion. Carbohydrates play an important role in refilling Glycogen levels during endurance events (marathon, long bike rides, or an extensive and intense leg day). A combination of the 2 would actually be the ultimate intraworkout solution.
Recent studies have found that BCAAs by themselves really only serve the purpose to hit your protein intake goals. If you are looking for increased muscle mass, you need to have a full pool of all essential amino acids. So, if you goal is to stack on more lean muscle mass . . . Spend a little more scrimp and get the EAAs.
You can take EAAs either immediately before your workout to saturate the hydration ingredients. You could take it intraworkout to get the endurance and hydration benefits mid workout. Or, you could take it post workout to start with the protein synthesis process and help with recovery.
