Our Omega 3 is sourced from all-natural, clean fatty acids, ensuring you get the purest form of fish oil. To provide a pleasant experience, we've added a refreshing lemon flavor to eliminate any fishy aftertaste.
What sets our Omega 3 apart? We use long-chain fatty acids (EPA and DHA), which are readily utilized by your body, unlike the less efficient short-chain fatty acids (ALAs) found in cheaper alternatives. ALAs require conversion to long-chain fatty acids, making them less effective and requiring higher consumption to achieve the same benefits.
Choose UXO Omega 3 for a premium supplement that supports your health efficiently and effectively. Enjoy the benefits of superior fish oil with every serving.
When it comes to omega-3 fatty acids, DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) are generally superior to ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) for most health benefits. Here’s how they compare:
DHA & EPA (Found in Fish, Krill, and Algae Oil)
More Bioavailable – Your body uses DHA & EPA directly, meaning no conversion is needed.
Better for Brain & Heart Health – DHA is crucial for brain function, while EPA is known for reducing inflammation and supporting cardiovascular health.
Strong Anti-Inflammatory Effects – EPA and DHA help regulate inflammatory pathways, making them beneficial for joint health, recovery, and chronic disease prevention.
Supports Eye Health – DHA is a major structural component of the retina.
ALA (Found in Flaxseed, Chia, Walnuts, etc.)
Requires Conversion – ALA must be converted into EPA and DHA, but this process is very inefficient (less than 10% of ALA gets converted).
Still Beneficial – ALA is a healthy fat with antioxidant properties, but it’s not as potent for reducing inflammation or supporting cognitive function.
Bottom Line
If you’re looking for optimal health benefits, high amounts of DHA & EPA (from fish oil, krill oil, or algae oil) are far superior to ALA sources. However, ALA is still useful as part of a balanced diet, especially for those who don’t consume fish.

Omega-3 fatty acids are “healthy fats” that may support your heart health. One key benefit is helping to lower your triglycerides.
Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) is one of several omega-3 fatty acids. It is found in cold-water fatty fish, such as salmon. It is also found in fish oil supplements, along with docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Omega-3 fatty acids are part of a healthy diet that supports heart health and healthy living.*
Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid found in cold-water, fatty fish, such as salmon. It is also found in fish oil supplements, along with eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Vegetarian sources of DHA come from seaweed. Omega-3 fatty acids are good for your heart, and your body needs DHA for a healthy brain.*

UXO Sources long chain fatty acids (EPA and DHA) which are more put to use in the body. Cheaper forms of Omegas with Short chain fatty acids (ALAs), need to be converted into Long form fatty acids. This conversion makes them inefficient, meaning you have to consume quite a bit more ALAs to get the same benefit found in EPA/DHA Omegas.
No, UXO sources the Omegas from Cold Water fish. We also coat the capsules in lemon flavor. This combination eliminates the nasty aftertaste or fish burps you may have experienced with other Omegas.
Take daily, preferably in the morning time with food. If not, then it is best to keep them consistent and take them roughly around the same time of day.
